ABOUT the FOUNDER

Valerie Jeannis.
Author turned Strategist. Creative Director for Bold Books and Bold Authors.

More and more people were publishing. But the books? They didn't look good. Underwhelming covers, distracting typography, and awkward spacing left pages reading more like Word docs than published works.

Authors deserved better.

Authors kept asking for help, telling me I had a way with words and an eye for design. I resisted at first. But eventually, I said yes.

What began as quick book makeovers grew into full strategy sessions—reimagining books from cover to cover. It wasn’t enough to make a book look good. It had to be positioned. It had to be intentional. Every detail had to matter.

That’s why I built Unapologetic Press. Not as another publishing company, but as a Creative Strategy House, where books are designed to be power moves—positioning, elevating, and propelling authors forward..

This isn’t traditional publishing.
And I’m not a traditional founder.
